But players can sense a good practice, and the coaches certainly know.
"A good practice is having good tempo," said center Chad Schofield. "There are no mistakes, no missed assignments, and people are hitting each other in those Tuesday, Wednesday practices. By Thursday, you settle down and you're working on the mental aspect.
"I think if you start fast in practice, that carries over into the game."
