People in one North Charlotte neighborhood are trying an innovative approach to keep crime down.
Crime Watch volunteers in the Wedgewood North neighborhood put small stickers on the rear windows of hundreds of cars, so they'd know which vehicles actually belong to homeowners in that community.
Police believe Wedgewood North has one of the strongest community watch programs in the city. Police said even though the watch program has dramatically reduced crime over the last year, they have to be more vigilant than ever before.
