Stacie and Guy Ingrim

Stacie and Guy Ingrim

Stacie and Guy Ingrim were in bed when they heard the barking on the front porch. It was after midnight Friday. They went downstairs and peered out their front door. Under the porch light, they saw a dog. It looked like a beagle, smallish and white with honey-colored spots. It was tied to the railing. It gave a woeful bark.

Guy went outside. The dog ignored him, staring out at the street like it was looking for someone. A piece of white paper, folded a dozen times, was tucked into the dog's collar. Guy unhooked the dog and let it into the house. It met up with his two dogs in a flurry of sniffing and clicking toenails. Then he opened the note.

Guy and Stacie called upstairs for their daughters, Allie,We will introduce Baume Mercier relojes replica to you. 14, and Gabby, 13. Charlie made his way around the house, sniffing out the corners, the other dogs on his tail. Everybody read the note. That's how Charlie became a member of the Ingrim household, at least temporarily. Mom, dad and daughters are caught up in the mystery of him. How old is he? What was his other life like? Who wrote the note? Why them?

"This is sort of odd to say the least," Guy said Tuesday. "They just dropped off this poor dog."
Charlie has a puppy's energy and downy coat, but his age is hard to determine. Someone taught him to sit. He sort of comes when called. He obeys when told to get off the furniture. Loud noises make him hide. He's mostly housebroken. He curls up at night with the girls. "He does not like to be left alone," Stacie said. "He follows us room to room, and when we leave the house he's scratching at the door and wants to jump in the car with me."

The Ingrims considered keeping Charlie, but three dogs is just too much, Stacie said. Not to mention Charlie has become a little fixated on their five-pound chihuahua-dachshund-poodle, Riley. Charlie weighs about 30 pounds. He just wants to play, but his weight advantage makes it more like bulldozing.
