A Neighborhood Watch Development training program has been set for today and April 25 at the Trumbull Metropolitan Housing Authority building, 4076 Youngstown Road S.E.

I believe that this type of training is important, needed and useful,'' explained Tina Milner, program coordinator for Warren Weed & Seed. ''We have a lot of good neighborhood watch groups in the city; hopefully, this training will encourage and equip more residents to take a stand in the community.''
The training is a coordinated effort among the Warren Police Department, TMHA and Warren Weed & Seed.
The Weed and Seed strategy is a federal grant from the U.S. department of Justice. The Center for Human Services Development at Youngstown State University serves as the fiscal agent.

However, this is the first time the local Weed & Seed has sponsored the training.
