Police quick to swoop on driver doing burnouts

"They've had a gutsful," he said. "They (the residents) don't need to be taken out (at risk) when they are trying to go about their business."
The driver of yesterday's heavily modified 1978 Mitsubishi Galant, Christian Hagan said he thought it was a good place to do some skids.
"You have to be able to have some fun. This is a safe place, a good road and there's not much traffic,Cheap swiss eta watches Watches for sale." he said.
Mr Hagan said he blew out a tyre before being nabbed but claimed he was responsible and carried a fire extinguisher just in case.
He said it was the first time he had driven on the Carrington Rd-Hurworth Rd circuit.
Police impounded Mr Hagan's vehicle for 28 days and he will appear in the New Plymouth District Court facing a charge of sustained loss of traction.
