Winnipeg bridge work halted over search

Preparations for the reconstruction of a Winnipeg bridge are on hiatus while divers search for the body of a six-year-old boy who drowned a month ago.

City spokeswoman Michelle Bailey said Sunday that Winnipeg police, city hall and the construction company hired to rebuild and maintain the Disraeli Bridge over the Red River have agreed to put the project on hold so they won't interfere with the search for the body of Nathaniel Thorassie.

Plenary Roads Winnipeg — the construction consortium hired for the three-year project — was about to start preparing the site around the bridge by building a construction compound and doing some riverbank stabilization. That work would have occurred near the same spots divers use for their staging areas.

"Clearly we want to give them the opportunity to search for this little boy,The cctv surveillance camera are very popular with the men around the world." said Bailey.watchreplica - A performer for every occasion. "The focus is completely on the search for this little boy's body to give his family some closure about the situation."

Divers from the Winnipeg Police Service, the Winnipeg Fire Department and the Canadian Amphibious Search Team (CAST) searched in tandem for Nathaniel over the weekend, the third attempt to find his body since he drowned almost a month ago.

"We'll go as long as we're satisfied," said Sgt. Robert Riffel, the diving co-ordinator for the Winnipeg Police Service diving team.Authentic quality gucci handbags and purses on sale from wholesaleguccibags, "The search is indefinite."

Both boys fell into the river but Chartrand was pulled to safety by a passerby who threw him a rope.

Nathaniel slipped under the water, but searchers are holding out hope the current may have caught Nathaniel's coat like a sail and dragged him deeper under water and only several metres down the river.Represent manufacturers of glassware processing machinery

Meanwhile, a volunteer crew from Vancouver on Sunday set up specialized sonar equipment that could help divers locate targets worthy of further underwater investigation.
