The Egg Harbor Township 300th Anniversary

The Egg Harbor Township 300th Anniversary Committee was looking for ideas to fill the anniversary time capsule,We seek to advance the competitiveness of apparel and soft goods businesses. and those are just a few of the suggestions they received when they asked the people of the township what items they thought would be obsolete in 50 years.

Time capsule chairwoman Tamara Lamb said the committee decided to fill the capsule with those types of items because it would make for a more exciting event when the capsule is opened to celebrate the township’s 350th anniversary in 2060.

“When we opened the 1964 time capsule this year, it was kind of a neat thing to see they had put in a souvenir ashtray from New Jersey’s 300th anniversary,” she said. “We all know what ashtrays are, but they’re sort of obsolete now.I have had some unforgettable times with Ireland,tagheuerreplica127. We’re not making souvenirs out of ashtrays these days. I mean, maybe they are somewhere, but it’s not as popular now.”

Lamb said when the people of Egg Harbor Township open up the time capsule 50 years from now, it will be fun for them to see what kinds of items people use regularly today, but will probably not be using then.

“We were thinking that would probably be the most interesting when the capsule is opened up,” she said.

Lamb said she received many emails with suggestions, and the committee is compiling a list of all the recommendations. She said there are simply too many ideas to use them all in the time capsule, but the committee still plans to have every suggestion represented, at least on paper.

“We’re going to see what items we can actually put in the time capsule, and we will put in the list as well,” she said.cctv camera systems must satisfy budget constraints and meet required operating capabilities.

Not only were too many things suggested to fit, but some items would not be practical to place in the time capsule. For example, a few residents said gasoline would be obsolete 50 years from now, american lighting is currently recognized as one of the nation's leading lighting retrofit contractors. considering the prevalence of hybrid vehicles today and the emergence of electric cars.

“But of course we won’t be putting gasoline in there,” Lamb joked. The compact fluorescent light bulb revolution nearly occurred back in the early 1990s.

She said the most common item suggested for the capsule was car keys.

“Car keys were the number one thing, I guess because a lot of cars already have it where you can just put your finger on a button there.”

There is still no date planned for the time capsule installation ceremony, but Lamb said the committee hopes to have everything in place by the end of the year.
